We as a species are beginning to realize the flaws in our ways of life – flaws that have erupted into global disasters that we will likely never recover from in our lifetimes. Our desire and pursuit of the “ultimate lifestyle” does not in any way need to lead to destruction and chaos. We can still surround ourselves with everything we need and will come to desire without the negative impact it will bring to this world or even to ourselves. There is another way. The answer lies within a resilient community.
The light bulb has finally lit within our heads. It is time to change – and change is good. We realize now that in order to sustain ourselves in a healthy and prosperous manner, we must change our ways. We have let go of the fear that these changes will in some way hinder us. We have grasped the truth. The truth is that these new ways will free and inspire us. We have come to understand that “green living” is not something reserved only for “hippies” and “extremists” who live without the modern luxuries we have grown so accustomed to – but a way for us to still enjoy what we have in a way that is harmonious with ourselves and our surroundings.
What we have done something groundbreaking. We have pieced together the elements for a great resilient community. In fitting with the definition of resilient, our community – Playa Crystal – will work in harmony with the environment instead of against it. Whether on the grid or off, this community will create never-ending “sustainable” peace of mind for its occupants. We have chosen a location that suits our needs. We have selected to use products that meet our goals, and we are incorporating a theme we call “Eco-Luxury” in order to provide for our innermost desires for the finer things in life.
